I’m always looking for ways to bring anthropology, my interests, and public issues into conversation. I write for the mass media, lately focusing on how the intimacy and self-expression of Chinese people are haunted by historical and political trauma. I organize and design community projects, from reading forums to games. I advocate for the disability community, and also translate academic works. I opened up an online volume to explore anthropology’s pedagogies as an editor, cuz I see the classroom as a battleground. You might also hear me on podcasts, where I plan and guest on episodes. And when I’m not doing all that, I write cultural commentary for independent magazines, fueled by my love for art, football, film, literature, and the pop cultures of Hong Kong and Taiwan.
